Brenda Colombus, BA, CACE, Senior Project Manager - Brenda brings fifteen years of operational and management experience and has managed responsibilities for both business and personnel development. She is an experienced classroom facilitator and on-the-job trainer. Brenda is CACE certified and holds a Human Resource Management Certificate from the University of Alberta. Brenda works collaboratively with organizations to determine training requirements and recommend learning solutions and technologies. She oversees the development and implementation processes to ensure timely delivery of world-class learning solutions.

Cheryl Popowich, BSc, BCom, CMA, Accountant – Cheryl has over 20 years experience with accounting and small businesses. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in math and a Bachelor of Commerce degree specializing in accounting. Cheryl has worked with companies in a variety of industries and of different sizes and structures. She manages our accounting system and provides accounting advice regarding all aspects of our business.

Peter Exner, Instructional Designer - Peter is an honours graduate (Television Writer/Producer) of the Cinema, Television, Stage and Radio Arts program at SAIT, with experience in scripting documentary and promotional materials. He brings over a decade of experience in the development of industrial and corporate training material to Base Corp. Peter has developed material for many high-profile clients in the oil and gas sector and in the financial and communications industries. This experience, coupled with dedication to quality and deadlines and problem-solving ability make Peter an asset to any project.

Jill Walker, MA, Instructional Designer - Jill graduated from the University of Alberta with an MA in 2003. During her university years, she studied in Alberta, Ontario and in Wales and was intrigued by the different uses and applications of language. She has a passion for the English language and communication techniques as they relate to instructional technology. Jill provides interview capability, storyboard development and learning resource editing. Her experience includes over five years working on many large-scale learning system implementations.

Shelley Reichelt, Technical Writer - Shelley brings over five years experience in technical writing and editing to our team. She taught English grammar to college students online and to immigrants from the Philippines. Shelley wrote course content for a college online program, and has developed work instructions and other support materials for a major utility company. Her high attention to detail and love of clear, concise instructions lend strong writing and editing skills to any project.

Larry Flewwelling, Senior Programmer - With over fifteen years of software development experience, Larry provides expertise in technology design and development. He is responsible for product architecture and oversees our technology development. As a director of development, team leader and senior developer, Larry has completed the design, development and implementation of numerous successful eLearning software products. Larry oversees the IT development team.

Spencer Douglas, Senior Programmer - Spencer has over ten years of cross-platform programming experience, specializing in web programming and website development. He is Base Corp.'s resident expert on testing applications (learner evaluations); he implements and maintains all of our clients' online testing environments. Spencer also provides technical and SharePoint support for all Base Corp. projects.

Nancy Scammell, BEd, Program Manager - Nancy graduated from the University of Alberta with a B.Ed in 1980 and obtained her certification as a Life Skills Coach in 1995. Nancy has over 20 years of classroom experience at all grade levels both in Alberta and internationally. Nancy is currently managing a virtual class of 3000 learners and lends herself as an application specialist in her "spare" time.

Julie Yackimec, Quality Assurance Coordinator, Photographer – Julie provides quality control and production support. She provides valuable feedback throughout product development and works closely with the design team to ensure final deliverables are met. Julie also holds a diploma in Digital Arts and Media and has worked as a professional photographer for six years. She provides photo and video support as required.

Aida Jerez, Administrative Assistant – Chances are, you'll speak to Aida before anyone else. She's the cheery voice you will hear during work hours. Aida's exceptional customer service and organizational skills are fully utilized in her role as Administrative Assistant. In addition to coordinating a busy office, she assists with program support. Aida graduated from Sheridan College with an Early Childhood Education Diploma.
